Key Leadership

Marianne Carter

Marianne Carter, CLU®, CASL®, ChFC®,  is a Financial Advisor and the President of Chadwick Bay Investments. Serving clients in the financial industry since 1999, Marianne specializes in retirement income plans and comprehensive financial planning for retirees, professionals, and those experiencing the complications of divorce. Prior to establishing Chadwick Bay Investments in 2011, Marianne worked with National Planning Corporation, Prudential, FSC Securities, Capital Analysts, and Berkshire Life Insurance Company.

Aside from having earned her CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter), CASL® (Chartered
Advisor for Senior Living), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), designations, Marianne also holds her Series 7, 65, and 66 securities licenses. She is passionate about helping people be responsible with their finances, while avoiding potential financial issues and common pitfalls.

As an independent financial advisor, Marianne is able to place client needs front and center. She knows that quality time with family and friends is not only a blessing, but an important factor in the quality of our daily lives, now and in retirement. How life changes as we age has an important impact on our financial outlook. Incorporating family needs in long-range planning is a key component for multi-generational financial success, as well as for coping successfully with the aging process.

Working hand-in-hand, she helps clients articulate their goals and objectives, and focuses on creating personalized, custom plans tailored to their unique needs. “Developing budgets and putting them to paper requires not only investor discipline, but an advisor who endorses the need for this important process. “Time and again, my clients see the value of maintaining their plan, so when life throws a curve ball we can work together to evaluate the impact of new obstacles, and make the best decisions for moving forward.”

When it comes to these curve balls, women are particularly vulnerable when undergoing major life changes such as widowhood and divorce. Marianne is well versed at providing support during difficult times like these, when women may be emotionally fragile and in need of reassurance regarding finances and self-sufficiency for their future.

Outside of the office, Marianne enjoys gourmet cooking, gardening, sailing, reading, and spending time with her family. She cites the brave men and women of our military as her personal heroes, and provides pro-bono counseling to non-profit organizations in her spare time.
